This scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who are planning to pursue a four-year undergraduate degree with a focus in Science, 技术, 工程, or Math (STEM) from an accredited university OR two-year associate’s degree with a focus on technical or vocational trades and crafts that serve the oil and gas industry. The Motiva Excellence in Education Scholarship is available to outstanding high school seniors that reside in areas surrounding our Port Arthur manufacturing and distribution operations.

Applicants for the Motiva Excellence in Education Scholarship must:

Two awards of $2,500 each school year for a total of $10,000. ($1,250 per semester per student for eight consecutive semesters).

希伯W. Ephlin was a long-time resident of the Port Neches-Groves area of Southeast Texas and a strong supporter of Lamar institutions of higher education who established a trust fund on behalf of students upon his death in 1992.

Must be a graduate (past or present) of Memorial, Port Neches-Groves, or Woodrow Wilson high school. Must attend one of the four Lamar institutions in Southeast Texas.
